Beginner Arabic: Reading, Writing, and Speaking
Course Description:
This course is designed for absolute beginners with no prior knowledge of Arabic. Students will learn to read and write the Arabic alphabet, understand basic grammar rules, and start forming simple sentences. Emphasis is also placed on speaking and listening skills to build everyday conversational ability.
Course Objectives:
- Recognize and pronounce all Arabic letters.
- Read and write basic Arabic words and simple sentences.
- Understand fundamental Arabic grammar (verbs, nouns, pronouns, simple sentence structure).
- Engage in basic conversations (greetings, introductions, asking and answering simple questions).
Course Content:
Module 1: Arabic Alphabet & Pronunciation
- Introduction to Arabic script (direction, style, sounds)
- Practice writing and recognizing letters
- Short vowels (Fatha, Kasra, Damma)
Module 2: Basic Reading and Writing
- Joining letters to form words
- Reading simple words and phrases
- Practice writing common words
Module 3: Basic Grammar Foundations
- Gender (masculine and feminine nouns)
- Definite article (ال)
- Simple sentence structure (subject + verb + object)
Module 4: Vocabulary Building
- Greetings and polite expressions
- Numbers 0–20
- Days of the week, colors, family members
Module 5: Speaking and Listening Practice
- Introducing yourself
- Asking for and giving basic information (name, nationality, age)
- Simple conversations in everyday settings (shopping, directions)
Course Duration:
- 8 to 10 weeks (adjustable based on pace)
- 2 classes per week, 60 minutes each
